Facility: medium voltage to the rack
Grid intake, transformers, switchgear, UPS and batteries, redundancy (N+1 or 2N), PUE and commissioning. The aim here is to brief and challenge design engineers, not to replace them. Paid design credentials teach little beyond the free material at that level.

- optional DCD Academy design awareness taster One-hour free master class on how a data centre is put together.
- core Schneider Electric University data-centre modules Fourteen free one-hour modules on power, cooling, racks, cabling, fire and security. Vendor-neutral basics. No AI or liquid-cooling module inside the certified path. The module count and hours are as listed on the catalogue page; individual module titles were not independently confirmed.
- core PUE: a comprehensive examination of the metric The Green Grid's reference paper, via the Berkeley Lab mirror.
- core OCP liquid cooling integration and logistics What changes in a building when racks arrive liquid-cooled.

Spain: connecting at medium voltage
The public documents behind a medium-voltage connection in Spain: the ministry's ITC-RAT guide and Royal Decree 337/2014. Each distribution company then publishes its own standard transformer-station specifications; two are linked below as examples. In Spanish. No free course on this was found.
Also: Guia ITC-RAT · NRZ001 · FYZ10000 guide - optional Uptime Institute journal and webinars Free articles on liquid-cooling expectations and cooling practice. Full survey PDFs sit behind a form.
- optional The Datacenter as a Computer, 4th edition Open-access book from Google (CC BY 4.0). Chapter 5 covers power and cooling; 3.3 and 6.3 to 6.4 cover AI workloads, accelerators and networking. A hyperscaler's view, not a colocation manual.
- skip Exam: Schneider DCCA See the exam entry below. Price and pass mark were not independently confirmed beyond community and third-party sources.
- later DCD on-demand Data Center Design Awareness Cheapest paid design course if one is ever needed. Price as listed by DCD Academy; not confirmed via a direct fetch of the course page.
- later Uptime ATD or CNet CDCDP See the exam entries below. Pick one, never both. Opened 2026-10-06: Uptime's ATD page states US$4,985 per participant for 16 hours of live remote instruction: https://atd.uptimeinstitute.com/education/accredited-tier-designer-atd . The cost and hours here are ATD's; CNet publishes no CDCDP price (see the exam entry).
What was not found
CNet does not publish a price for CDCDP.
